Ask a questionHow long does a ceramic coating actually last?
Our coatings range from a two-year Sport package up to a seven-year flagship system. Real-world life depends on wash habits, sun exposure, and whether the vehicle is garaged. Every package includes a documented aftercare plan and an annual maintenance check designed to protect that lifespan.
Do I still need paint correction before ceramic coating?
In most cases, yes. A ceramic locks the surface in whatever condition it's installed over — including swirl marks, water spots, and fine scratches. Our Signature and Concours packages include correction so the gloss you see at delivery is what gets sealed in.
Will ceramic coating eliminate rock chips or scratches?
No — ceramic coating is a chemical-resistance and gloss layer, not impact protection. For rock chips and road debris, paint protection film (PPF) is the right tool. Many DFW clients combine PPF on impact panels with a ceramic top coat over the rest of the vehicle.
How long does the install take?
A Sport-tier ceramic coating typically takes one full day. Signature is two to three days. Concours and flagship multi-stage corrections run three to five days, depending on paint condition. We provide a confirmed timeline at intake.
How do I maintain a ceramic-coated vehicle?
Skip the automatic brush wash. Use a clean two-bucket hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo, dry with a quality microfiber, and address bird droppings or bug splatter quickly. Every client leaves with a written care plan, and our annual maintenance program keeps the warranty intact.
